"نهاية مسرحية أمريكا تأخذنا وبريطانية ترجعنا"

المجتمع الدولي وصل إلى مرحلة تاريخية بالنسبة لسورية والعالم العربي والإسلامي. كل الثورات العربية أنتهت صراعتها التي تواجهت فيها الحكومات والشعوب. معظم الصراعات الآن هي صراعات فكرية سياسية قد يتخللها بعض العنف. بسبب التدخل الأقليمي والقوى العالمية في هذه الصراعات كسب الغرب نقط غرام مع شعوب الشرق الأوسط التي كانت مولهة بحضارته وأفلامه البطولية. كان هذا الأمر حتى هبت ثورة سوريا.

عندما ينمو الطفل، نستمتع ببرائته وطيبة قلبه. نسبح الله على جماله المكتسب من هذه البرائة. نضحك عندما يصدق مزحنا معه. هذا كان حال العالم العربي حتى ثورة سوريا. كانت أمريكا تأخذنا بكلمة وبريطانية ترجعنا بالأخرى. كانت الأمم المتحدة تصعدنا إلى السماء والناتو تنزلنا إلى الأرض. بُعد فِكرنا السياسي كان كثساذاجة الطفل البريء الذي يصدق كل شيء نقوله له. 

أحتار المجتمع الدولي ماذا يفعل عندما لم يستطع أبنهم المدلل أن يقضي على إنتفاضة الشعب في سوريا. أدانوا وأستنكروا واجتمعوا وقرروا ومازال سفاح سوريا ينتهك الأعراض ويذبح الأطفال ويدمر المنازل على 

رؤوس أصحابها. والآن وبعد أن أستيقنوا أن الثورة ماضية حتى النصر لزموا الصمت للحفاظ على ما تبقى من ماء وجههم.

  

لقد سدل الستار وأنتهت المسرحية. أنتهت مسرحية إرهاق أرواح الفلسطينيين ليبرز حسن نصرالله كبطل أقليمي. أنتهت مسرحية الممانعة التي طالت أربعين سنة ولم يكسب فيها الشعب الفلسطيني شبر أرض واحدة. أنتهت مسرحية تمثال الحرية للجميع. أنتهت مسرحية الأمم المتحدة للحفاظ على حقوق الأنسان.

أنتهت المسرحية وبانت حكومات المجتمع الدولي على حقيقتها. حكومات لا تعبأ بالأنسان ولا بحقوقه ولا بكرامته. حكومات مصالح. يتعاونون مع أكبر أعدائهم ظاهريا إذا كان لهم مصلحة باطنية

سكت المجتمع الدولي لأنه عرف أن شعوبنا لن تصدق أكاذيبه  بعد الآن. سكت المجتمع الدولي لأنه يعلم الآن أننا نعرف أن دموعه هي دموع التماسيح. وأخيرا، سكت المجتمع الدولي لأننا قلنا له "أخرس. نحن سنطهر أراضينا من الأنجاس الذين زرعتموهم فيها بأيدينا"

تذكر هذه الحكمة كلما حاولت أن تنشر أي خبر اوإشاعة

أخوتنا في الثورة. أرجو أن تكون هذه القصة القصيرة درس لنا في طريقة التعامل مع بعض وأن نتأكد من مصادر وأهداف من ينقل لنا أخبار سيئة عن بعض.

في اليونان القديمة (399-469 ق.م)اشتهر سقراط بحكمته البالغة
في أحد الأيام صادف الفيلسوف العظيم أحد معارفه الذي جرى له

وقال له بتلهف:"سقراط،أتعلم ما سمعت عن أحد طلابك؟"
 "رد عليه سقراط ....انتظر لحظة"

قبل أن تخبرني أود منك أن تجتاز امتحان صغير يدعى امتحان الفلتر الثلاثي

"الفلتر الثلاثي؟"
 تابع سقراط:

قبل أن تخبرني عن طالبي لنأخذ لحظة لنفلتر ما كنت ستقوله.

الفلتر الأول ....هو الصدق

 "هل أنت متأكد أن ما ستخبرني به صحيح؟"" رد الرجل لا ،"في الواقع لقد سمعت هذا الخبر "...
""قال سقراط  ,حسنا "

إذا أنت لست متأكد أن ما ستخبرني  به صحيح أو خطأ.

 لنجرب الفلتر الثاني، فلتر الطيبة.

هل ما ستخبرني به عن طالبي شيء طيب؟"
"لا،على العكس..."

"تابع سقراط"

إذا ستخبرني بشيء سييء عن طالبي على الرغم من أنك غير متأكد من أنه صحيح؟"

بدأ الرجل بالشعور بالإحراج.

تابع سقراط:"ما زال بإمكانك أن تنجح بالإمتحان،

فهناك فلتر ثالث - فلتر الفائدة.

هل ما ستخبرني به عن طالبي سيفيدني؟"
"في الواقع لا."" تابع سقراط"

إذا كنت ستخبرني بشيء ليس بصحيح ولا بطيب ولا ذي فائدة أو قيمة،

 لماذا تخبرني به من الأصل؟

إلى نجل الشهيد

عزيزي يا ابن الشهيد ...

هل تذكر عندما كسرت ذراعي؟ حينها كنا نلعب مع بعضنا لعبة  "العمليات الخاصة"

كنا نريد أن نثأر لمقتل والدك..نعم والدك

والدك الذي قضى على يد  "النظام السوري"  الذي اعتبره بأنه "إرهابي"

نعم والدك..والدك الذي أراد أن يعيش بكرامة

والدك الذي اتهمه النظام بأنه أحد أفراد ما أطلق عليه اسم  "العصابات المسلحة"

هذا المصطلح الذي أصبح الآن مألوفا لدى الجميع ؟؟

أحياناً أتسائل...ماذا كان سيقول والدك الآن؟

ثلاثون عاماً مضت..وتقول لي أن الأسد الابن يقاتل "العصابات المسلحة" ؟؟

تقول لي أن هناك مؤامرة عالمية تستهدف سوريا !!

تقول لي ... يجب أن يعطى بشار الفرصة لكي يصلح ؟!

وتقول ... إنه ليس الرئيس .. بل الذين يحيطون به !!

ثم تسألني من الذي سيكون بديلا لبشار؟؟

تقول .. وتسأل .. ثم تقول ...

لماذا؟؟ لماذا يا ابن الشهيد؟!

ألست فخورا بما عاش من أجله والدك؟

أم أنك تقول لي أن الذئب الذي قتل والدك قد خلف نعجة ؟؟

هل نسيت المبادئ الذي علمنا إياها وربانا عليها جدنا ?

هل نسيت؟؟ هل نسيت أن كلمة الحق يجب أن تقال مهما كانت الظروف ؟

لماذا؟ لماذا يا ابن الشهيد ؟

أتريد أن تقنعني بأن دول العالم بأسرها قد تناست جميع مشاكلها وقررت أن تتآمر على سوريا وتدمرها !

واحد وأربعون عاما من الإصلاحات البائسة..أليست كافية ؟!

أنسيت الفساد الذي جلبه هذا النظام لبلدنا ؟

أليس من المفترض أن يكون الرئيس هو الذي يختار الأناس الذين يحيطون به ??

ألست تتفق معي بأن تولي مقاليد الرئاسة هي مسؤولية كبيرة..من لايقدر على تحمل مسؤوليتها , فهو ليس جدير بها أصلا ؟

أم أنك تريد أن تقول لي..أن نساء سوريا جميعا .. لم تنجب من هو قادر على حكم هذا البلد طوال أربعة عقود ؟!

في الحقيقة ..أنا لا أنتظر منك جوابا ..فأنا أعلم الإجابة التي هي في قرارة نفسك .. والتي أنت تعلمها أيضا

ولكنني أتمنى فقط , في المرة المقبلة التي تزور فيها قبر والدك أن تقول له :

أبي .. أنا لم أسمي ابني من بعدك فقط ... ولكنني أنهيت العمل الذي لم يتسنى لك القيام به أيضاً .. "

لقد أعدت لسوريا كرامتها وعزتها التي سلبت , رحمك الله يا أبي " .

Leaning toward intervention

A few days ago, fellow activist from Twitter contacted me to discuss an online campaign for Syria. The campaign called for NATO to intervene in Syria. This was a topic that I haven't made up my mind about at that point but I wasn't completely against due to the brutal nature of the Syrian regime toward the people of Syria. I had to question myself whether I was going support that call or not. My final decision was to go for it for the following reasons:

1. When it comes to bloodshed, the regime is more willing to spill the blood of its people than anyone else. When things escalate, and I believe they will, the regime will have no problem killing hundreds or thousands of Syrians on a daily basis as it did in Hama. Any targeted strikes on Shabeeha forces will reduce the number of civilians killed because the regime will be more focused on protecting itself.

2. Financially, Syria stands to gain a lot from its new found freedom. The world has become one big trading village. The Syrian people are known to be great business people. Unfortunately they have been robbed from the opportunity to prosper as they are treated as servants of the Assad family. Any business person, especially those with large businesses, knows that they must share part of their wealth with a family member or close friend of the Assad clan. There has even been incidents where businesses were taken away from their owners by members of the Assad family with no court system to protect them.

When someone looks at the conditions of living in Syria, he or she can see that it will be nothing but better in the absence of the regime. Protesters know that stopping know is suicidal. The current conditions all point out to a continuous increase in bloodshed. Any economical conditions, helping countries might impose on Syria, will not mount to anything near as bad as the daylight robbery of the Syrian economy done by the Assad family on a regular basis.In addition to the previously mentioned points, I am sure that the Syrian people don't mind living the rest of their lives in a dignified manner.

The call for intervention is not limited to a specific organization, country, or method. I do believe that the most acceptable intervention is an intervention by Turkey and Arab countries. On the other hand, the most acceptable type of intervention is the establishment of a neutral zone that is protected.

Regardless of who or how, one thing is clear. The Syrian regime is not going to be toppled by street protests. It's willing to kill thousands and that is exactly what it will do if protests stop. Protection of civilians in Syria has become an international obligation.

Silmya (Peaceful) until the end?

About two weeks ago, I published my first blog on how I envision what needs to be done to prepare for the moment after toppling the Assad regime (What’s Next / http://tinyurl.com/3hpcp4n). Since that time, a Transitional Authority was at least proposed and hopefully will be established soon. Also, Libyan revolutionists seem to be on the verge of taking total control of their beloved country. Images from Tripoli showed many men with machine guns roaming the streets and firing live rounds in the air. As exciting as the scene was, it had the sense of chaos painted all over it. People were asking, is that what we want in Syria? Is this how it will look when we topple the regime in Syria? The answer is of course not. The only way things will turn to outside military intervention is if violence escalates due to the lack of action by the silent majority inside Syria. The Assad regime, frustrated by its lack of control over the situation, will resort to more killing in hope of crushing the revolution.

When President Obama declared Bashar to be illegitimate and asked him to step down, he made it clear that it is up to the Syrian people to topple their own regime, signaling a lack of will by the west to interfere militarily in Syria. While this is good news for those who want to keep it peaceful, the question that sticks out is how do you topple such a brutal regime peacefully?

My answer might seem to be very simplistic, but I believe in going back to the basics. Often we get consumed in setting up grand schemes for tasks that can be accomplished with simple procedures. My plan calls for return to the basics of government building and collapsing. It involves those who are standing on the sidelines quietly though. My message to them is that if you do not participate in the peaceful plan, you will find yourself in the middle of the unpeaceful one.

So how do we topple the regime peacefully?

The two aspects of the plan are civil disobedience and the dismantling of the regime’s support pyramid. It involves breaking the wall of fear and taking a little risk. It is fear that the regime is utilizing to control the hearts and minds of the Syrians. When fear is shattered, the regime will lose its orientation and its grip and will be easier to topple.

1. Disobedience: The Syrian regime, based on the system that it has established in the past forty years, knows exactly how an average citizen will react to any situation because it conditioned them to react to fear. It knows that almost every eighteen years old will report to the mandatory army draft. The underprivileged will serve in the barracks and the wealthy will pay his way off to serve at home. It knows that anyone who needs to get paper work done in a government agency has to bribe his way through different agencies in order to get his work done without disruption. It knows that any citizen who confronts any member of the ruling family or their allies for any injustices done to them will be subjected to severe cases of harassment, torture, and/or imprisonment. Until the Syrian people change their response to such scenarios and shock the regime, they will continue to have the same treatment by the regime. If people start refusing to pay bribes and stand up for their rights, particularly during this time when the regime wants to be nice, they will weaken the regime and start gaining the upper hand. 
2. Dismantling the pyramid: Governments are structured like pyramids with the President being the highest point of that pyramid. Just like the highest point in a pyramid is one block standing on top of thousands of other blocks, the President of a country cannot remain on top of a government pyramid if all the blocks below him were not stable. You might ask how can I remove any of the people who are around Bashar? It is simple. First, we need to get rid of the mentality that anything we do must be grand to be effective. Insects that destroy huge trees do it by taking one minute bite in the core of the tree at a time. Those tiny bites become a big gaping whole inside the trunk of the tree that causes it to topple when small winds hit it. Everyone knows someone in the Syrian government. When you know someone on a personal level you can influence them better. If you speak to that government employee, who can be a block at the bottom, middle, or top of the government pyramid, and put some doubts in them about the legitimacy of the government or its action against its citizens, you are in fact starting to remove the blocks beneath the head of the pyramid. If you own a business and can take one of those blocks and put him in an honest job, you have deprived this brutal regime of a resource that it might have been using to suppress your countrymen.

Each person can help in their own way to destabilize this regime and cause it to collapse. The examples and metaphors that I gave here are meant to ignite your imagination and to get you thinking about how to help. They are in no way the only things to do to destabilize the regime and cause the grounds beneath it to tremble. If you are one of the silent ones, if you don’t know what you can do to help the revolution, or if you don’t want to see military intervention, you must come out of your silence and your comfort zone. You need to do your part to remove the support blocks from beneath the top of the pyramid. You need to do that before those who are protesting everyday say enough is enough of this killing and ask for foreign support. Break through the wall of fear. Break your chains and try to experience the freedom of living in dignity and with honor. Most importantly, do something now so we don’t see the situation in Libya repeat itself in Syria.
